Background — Employment

During my undergraduate education I was fortunate to have some great summer jobs. I have worked for B.C. Tel (now part of the Telus Corporation) as a driver and equipment tester, for Quintette Coal as a haul truck driver (170 Ton), for Okanagan Helicopters as a \"cone clipper\" and for the BC Forest Service as a crew leader on a helicopter fire-fighting crew. While working on my Ph.D. I worked full time for BC\'s Ministry of Forests and the BC Crown Corporation, Forest Renewal BC. My instructional career has involved working for (at various times) Grande Prairie Regional College, Northern Lights College, Okanagan College, Athabasca University and the University of Victoria. I joined the faculty of Mount Royal in 1998 and in the summer of 2013 accepted a teaching position at the University of Victoria.
